United Kingdom

While we navigate the current health situation faced by the UK and the rest of the world, we ask kindly that you work with us and fully adhere to the following requirements to help keep everyone as safe as possible.

Please also review the UK Government’s current advice for Working safely during COVID-19 in other people’s homes

If you have questions or concerns please highlight them to your relocation specialist at the earliest opportunity

General:

  • Please advise if you have been feeling unwell or have been experiencing Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days
  • If you are required to isolate for 14 days, please let us know as there are alternative options we can explore
  • Not all estate agent agents are back up and running yet and ones that are may have reduced staffing levels, this is currently affecting viewing capabilities
  • Access to vacant properties is permitted subject to agent availability
  • Access into occupied properties will be at the current tenant’s discretion and in many cases, video tours will be the only means of viewing a property until it becomes vacant
  • Search areas may need to be split across multiple days depending on available travel options. You will be advised of any restrictions by your personal Relocation Specialist

Before viewings:

  • Your Relocation Specialist will have their temperature checked twice daily. If a temperature of 38c or higher is recorded, they will not be able to attend your search day and you will be contacted to discuss alternative arrangements
  • Klippa will work with you to pre-screen property options ahead of booking viewings to try and minimise unnecessary interaction
  • The number of properties seen during a home search may be lower than expected, Klippa will work with you to minimise the impact this may have and we would ask for your assistance during the pre-screening stage to aid in this process
  • Most estate agents are limiting viewings to a maximum of two people (from one household), please advise if you anticipate having more people in attendance and we can discuss alternative options
  • Please ensure you bring your own PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the Home Search, at a minimum this should include; face mask and anti-viral hand sanitiser or gloves

During Viewings:

  • Traveling in the same vehicle as your Relocation Specialist is not currently permitted. We advise walking or cycling between viewings and avoiding public transport wherever possible
  • We must all currently observe two meter distancing at all times
  • If a property is not large enough, a "one in one out" policy may be applied
  • Take the stairs where possible and only use lifts if absolutely necessary
  • Try to minimise contact with objects, surfaces, handles etc. wherever possible, if you wish to have a cupboard or window opened, please ask and the agent will do this for you
  • If possible, please bring the following documents with you to be verified by the estate agent in person. This will help complete the legal “Right to Rent” checks and hopefully avoid having to do so at a later date;

- Passport - original, not a copy

- BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) card - if you have one, if not;

- Visa document - where applicable

- Proof of address (from departure country) - i.e bank statement or

Utility/Federal/Municipal/Government bill, dated within the last three months (not a mobile phone bill). Alternatively, a tenancy agreement dated within the last 6 months may be accepted. The address on the document must match the address you supply for referencing purposes

After Viewings:

  • Lease negotiation and subsequent lease progression will be conducted electronically wherever possible
