Team Spotlight: Mihaela Pungan

Q: What does your role entail?

A: As a Relocation Specialist, aside from searching for properties and accompanying clients on viewings, I offer clients my advice. My role entails advising them on various areas of interest as well as local property market conditions.

Q: What is your favourite part about working for Klippa?

A: The best part of my role is the fact that I get to see different parts of this beautiful city and the areas around it, and I meet new people and hear their stories almost every day. Besides these, the team I work with is so supportive and friendly, making the work even more enjoyable.

Mihaela Pungan, Relocation Specialist at Klippa Relocation

Q: What’s the biggest work challenge you’ve had to deal with?

A: The biggest challenge is managing the clients’ expectations. Most of the clients are new to the UK; they come from countries where the property market is very different, not only in terms of rent value but also in terms of pace. On one hand, they expect to find lower prices, and on the other hand, they believe that they can take days or weeks to think about making an offer on a property or not. In order for them not to be disappointed, I always try to be honest and transparent with them in a polite way.

Q: What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?

A: No matter the message you have to pass on, the important thing is the way you do it. Always try to adapt to the situation, empathise, and be patient.

Q: What would you do for a career if you weren’t doing this?

A: I would have liked to be an architect, but as it’s a bit late for that, I stay close to the property sector in another way.

Q: What did you want to do for a job when you were a child?

A: I always wanted to work as a flight attendant because I wanted to travel the world.

Q: What do you like to do when you aren’t working?

A: I love being out and about with my son and my family. I like cycling, cooking, and I love the seaside.

Q: Tell us something about you we don’t know?

A: I lived in Kuwait for three years.

Q: What’s your favourite line from a film?

A: “Will I see you tonight?

I never make plans that far ahead.” Casablanca.

Q: If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why?

A: I would like to meet Margaret Thatcher. I don’t think she was always right, but she was always assertive in her behaviour and manner of speaking.

Q: Three words your family and friends would use to describe you?

A: Reliable, determined, cheeky.

Q: Name one thing that annoys you?

A: Hypocrisy.

Q: If you could have any superpower what would it be?

A: Teleportation.

Q: What is one food that you cannot resist?

A: Pasta, almost any kind.

Q: Finally, can you give us a good piece of advice?

A: When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. You can turn every difficult situation into something favourable.
